I was watching T.V. with my granny the other day and on one of her little how this man said something like insanity and genius flirts with each other and i totally agree. Now by me being me, I couldnt remember the exact quote so I of coursed went to google and had NO luck of finding it but I did come across this one “One man's insanity is another man's genius; someday the world will recognize the genius in my insanity." ~Author unknown. The reason Im talking about insanity and genius is because i feel that so many best friends are that exact same way, for instance me and Yin. In our case, she is genius and im insanity but i feel that our different personalities is what makes us besties. I dont think the two could possible clash at all because opposites attract. Right? I think that there is a certain flair that they both find interesting in each so I think that would lead to any relationship, that you could make last forever.

P.S. Yin gets back in town on Wednesday so we might put up a video this week if we're lucky.

What is it going to be like?

Seriously. What is it going to be like? I'm curious. I was pretty upset when Michael passed but I could never comprehend the pain of the people that grew up listening to his music and learning about him, almost as if they knew him. Most of those are people like our mothers and fathers. Some people thought it was a little too much to cry about his death, but our parents actually deserved a tear or two because of that special connection with someone who kept entertaining the world as our parents got older. So what is it going to be like for us web 2.0 users? Our generation? How will we feel when people who have started a teen craze like Justin Bieber, Beyonce', or Miley Cyrus start dying off? I think about the rappers sometimes too. I don't know about everybody else, but I love Lil' Wayne and can't picture the world with him gone from it. Most people probably think he's crude and degrading to women, but love him or not, its still kind of hard to wrap you head around. It has been a whole year, and Michael's passing is only about halfway through my brain. I just think what would America in particular feel like 40 years from now when most of our current pop sensations are gone from this earth.

I'm gonna come right out and say it: Why say bad words?? Yesterday I went on myspace out of complete bordom and on an old classmates page, this gurl was tearrin it up!! Like okay, I understand how in today's culture teenagers use cuss words, but like whats the purpose? She wasnt even talkin to anyone, she had it posted on a picture...really? I understand how some ADULTS use cuss words as an expression of anger but using them doesnt really make you look smarter, just like you dont have any class if directed at a person. Me personaly I dont like or use cuss words because I dont get the point, and also I just have normality issues so I just go the different route. I know some people use them because of celebrity influence, and I say "Your point is". You and whoever sings,raps,models, or dances isnt you. Yall are not the same people and just because they do that, would you do drugs, drink, or in the words of Lil Wayne "'beep' every girl in the world" too??

Natural??

I dont know if you call what I'm doing natural, but for a girl who has been getting perms for as long as she can remember, I say I'm pretty close. I decided to stop getting perms yesterday when my cousins and almost everyone else in my family told me my crimps were GORGEOUS. The story behind it was that my hair was starting to break in the back so that was one of the reasons I didn't want to get it flat-ironed anymore, just until it grew back to decent length. Back to the crimps, the way my hair looks now is crinkly and shiny, but only near the top. My only problem is the ends look kinda dull which sucks and the bad thing is:The dull part looks the most natural out of the whole thing. I'm okay with the hair style because it down and free and flowy and I get to express myself because just like this new hair style, I'm un-controllable and pretty and well flamboyant.

Attack of the CRIMPS!!!

By now, yall should know that I'm a FAITHFUL tgaw reader and viewer, so it should not have come as a suprise when I said I want my hair like theirs...curly. Now I took it into consideration that my hair is nowhere near the length of their hair so I decided to do some tests runs before actually goin to the beauty shop and comin out looking like the black Marie Antoinette. I decided Ill do crimps before going curly just to get a visual. Samrt idea casue it was a complete......SUCCESS!! We just washed my hair, put a little leave in conditioner, and braided it inot about 9 braids and I was officially on my Cleo swag {remember Cleo from Set it Off}. Considering today is the 4th, I took it down today and it was a complete attack...the moral of this story is just....Always do a test with your hair before paying your good money.Have a Happy Independence Day!

Good Afternoon everyone! Im just waking up and my sis challenged me to a game of pool...........beat her. ANYWAAAAYS..im like super thrilled to be a high school cheerleader!!!!......man they do alot up at my new school with them cheerleaders....i gotta get fitted for my uniforms,and go to a 3 day camp...all before school starts! Luckily the camp ends on the 7th of august or i wouldn't be blogging anymore due to the fatal wounds of a butterknife, drawn out of the purse of Syd s..(her bday is the next day...phew!). So i read all the cheering info and they cheer @ everything!!!! B_ball and football games, pep rallies, open house, back to school picnics, tech trek...watever that is......yea thats alot. I CAN'T WAIT!

POOL

cmon. I dare you....... Ch'mon!!!!. I need a challenge! I am the...freakn pool master!!! ...i beat my own teacher!.....yea, my big headed cosing taught me. Ok mabye i aint that good.....but i learned all the pool lingo and rules and stuff...i used to play on my ps2 and i won alot, but wen it comes to the real thing, you come to find that you have to hold the stick right b4 you start pocketing...AND theres this kool little square of blue chalk that you rub against the end of the stick...i love it. Since there are like fancy words for every thing in pool i asked my eldest big head cousin "what do you call a pool stick?" and now they think im crazy.

NoH8

So, I have noticed this campaign called NoH8 and I want to know what yall think of it. For those of you who dont know, NoH8 is a campaign made by Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley in protest to Preposition 8 which banned same-sex marriages in California on November 4,2008. People pose with duct tape on their mouths to show how Prep 8 has silenced their voices and NoH8 painted on their cheeks. I think that this campaign is something that most Americans should want to be apart of. I am not gay, but I do have relatives who are and I dont feel that we should judge them in any way because only God's judgement count.I dont think that we should be able to deny people of their personal preferences and happiness and I dont think that states should have restrictions upon a person's life. Basically the Prep is telling people who they can and cant marry or have a relationship with and I dont think that's how America wants to be portrayed as. Hopefully the campaign will come somewhere close to my location because I think this is something that not only my family, but yin and I would participate in. so im in louisiana with my cousins..who always tease me about having a big head. I told my eldest cousin i had mcdonalds for lunch and he was all....you kno dat goes straight to your head? Of course i tld him he must eat it alot....nuff said... Introduction/ Advice

Hello, my name is Ryliegh, and I am a new intern for the Yin Yang Thang blog. I am happy to be apart of this blog, for one because, I have a lot to say and this gives me a chance to express those things. Also, I'm well known for posts that I put on Gmail called thoughts of the week, and I would love to put those on this blog, people say they are really helpful to their everyday lives. But, I don't just post about "Kidd stuff" I am very mature for my age, so sometimes my posts are going to be really deep and in depth. I am a total computer nerd, like I love to be on the computer just doing anything, and giving advice is usually what I'm doing. Every now and then I post a blog on relationship websites or on adult websites, and you may think that's weird because I'm a teen but I understand the adult mind and I relate to older people. So if you ever need someone to talk to I would love to help you out. Well, I think that's all I have to say for now, but since I am a new member of the blog, I will give you a "Thought of the Weekend" since its Thursday: Topic: Relationships

For the ladies: When you find a guy that makes you smile don't jump to conclusions as to whether or not you will be w/ him, but take time to get to know him. And if you already have someone, never let your relationship die, keep on adding more adventure and spontinanity so that you continue to grow in each other.

For the guys: The one thing that girls look for in a guy is someone who listens, so when you meet a girl or even if you already have one, remember that you are more than just someone who she wants to hang out w/ she expects you to be there for her when times are rough so she can have a shoulder to cry on.

For both: Being in a relationship is a wonderful thing but if you don't know how to handle one, you are at a loss, and the best thing to do for both guys and girls is that you find who YOU are first so that when you meet someone, and they try to change you, you know who you are and what your about so you can be independent w/ or w/o them.
